Google Launches Samsung Galaxy Nexus S

With the launch of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Google, in collaboration with Samsung, also announced the launch of first Android 4.0 powered mobile, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Galaxy Nexus GT-I9250, which was earlier known as the Nexus Prime is the second phone (after Samsung Google Nexus S launched last year) from the partnership of Google and Samsung. The phone is a major upgrade to its predecessor and is also the first phone to feature the on screen software buttons replacing its hardware counterparts.
Hardware wise the Galaxy Nexus turns out to be a true high end phone.
However the 5 Mega pixel main camera may disappoint you a bit. The other features are:

  • 4.65 inches, 720 x 1280 px, 16M colors, Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen – Highest resolution in a GSM mobile yet
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 5 Mega Pixel camera with Autofocus, LED Flash and 1080px@30fps video recording
  • 1.3 Mega Pixel front camera
  • Dual-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A9 CPU, TI OMAP 4460 chipset
  • The best price of Samsung Google Nexus S in India is Rs. 25600
